Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 28, 2025
Last Updated: October 6, 2026

Thank you for using TargetScore ("TargetScore", "we", "our", or "us"). TargetScore is operated by Pasithea Group Inc. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting the information you share when using our website, mobile app, the club websites we host, and our services (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have.

Clubs and event organizers use TargetScore to run their events. When you enter an event, sign a club's waiver or answer a club's entry form, the club decides what it asks for and how it uses your answers; we store and process that information for the club so it can run the event.

If you do not agree with this policy, please discontinue use of the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to run shooting events and provide our Services.

1.1. Your Account

  • Name and email address
  • Password (securely hashed and salted by our authentication provider), or the details we receive when you sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook: your name and email address. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to share a private relay address instead of your real one.
  • Profile photo, if you add one

1.2. Your Athlete Profile

  • Display name, gender, and your birth month and year (not your full date of birth), used for age categories
  • Country, province or state, and city
  • Shooting hand and profession, if you add them
  • Contact phone number, if you add one
  • Your privacy choices (see Section 3)

1.3. Clubs

If you run a club on TargetScore, we collect the club's name, contact email, phone number, address, website and social media links, logo, currency and time zone, and the names, email addresses and roles of its owners and managers. When a club sets up card payments, its identity and bank details are given directly to Stripe; we keep only the reference Stripe gives us.

1.4. Entries, Scores and Results

  • Event entries: division, classification, age category, categories, entry status, range bookings and notes
  • Answers to a club's entry form (see Section 4.2)
  • Scores and results, including shot-by-shot data and, if you enter it, load and velocity data
  • A history of changes to each entry, which the event's organizers can see

1.5. Payments and Purchases

  • Orders for event entries: amounts, taxes, fees, donations, refunds and payment status
  • A club's plan and subscription status

Card details are entered directly with Stripe, or with Apple or Google for purchases in the app. We never see or store your full card number.

1.6. Waivers and Electronic Signatures

When you sign a club's waiver, we record your name, email address and signature, when you opened, signed or declined it, your IP address, browser or device information and time zone, and your consent to sign electronically. We keep the signed document and an audit trail, and share them with the club.

1.7. Communications

  • Messages you send us through the contact form, email or live chat
  • Your email preferences and, if you subscribe to our optional updates, a record of your consent (see Section 2.1)

1.8. The Mobile App and Your Device

  • If you allow notifications: a push notification token for your device, its platform (iOS or Android), your time zone and your notification settings
  • A device identifier and security key that let you stay signed in when there is no signal
  • Photos, only when you choose one from your photo library for a profile photo or club logo

The app does not access your contacts, microphone or location. To work at the range without a signal, it keeps a copy of the information you use on your device, including, for organizers, the details of their events' entrants.

1.9. Automatically Collected Technical Data

We use standard analytics and diagnostics tools to help maintain and improve the platform. These tools may collect:

  • Device information and browser type
  • IP address
  • Pages or screens viewed
  • App performance data, crash reports and error logs
  • Recordings of a sample of sessions on our website and in our app, showing how pages and screens were used. These can include what was on screen, including information you entered; in the app, text you type is hidden from recordings. Payment card details are entered on Stripe's pages and are never recorded.

These tools include Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager, on our website), PostHog and Sentry (on our website and in our app), and Azure Application Insights (on our servers). In the app, they identify you only by your account ID, never by your name or email address. All data is used strictly for technical operations and platform improvement.

1.10. What We Do Not Ask For

We do not ask for Social Security or Social Insurance numbers, government ID numbers, your full date of birth, your card numbers, or your device's location. A club's own entry form may ask for other information; see Section 4.2.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Creating and managing user accounts
  • Enabling users to register for shooting events, pay for entries and sign waivers
  • Allowing clubs to manage event rosters, squadding, range bookings, scoring and results
  • Publishing results, athlete profiles and club websites (see Section 3)
  • Selling and managing club plans
  • Providing event-related functionality and communication, including emails and push notifications
  • Sending you product updates, upcoming-event and results emails — only if you opt in (see Section 2.1)
  • Maintaining security, stability, and performance of the platform, and preventing abuse (for example with Google reCAPTCHA on forms that can be used without signing in)
  • Identifying and resolving errors or outages
  • Keeping the records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records
  • Improving and developing new features

We do not use your information for:

  • Targeted advertising
  • Marketing without your permission
  • Selling or renting data to any third party

2.1. Email Communications

We send two kinds of email, and we treat them differently.

Service emails. These are part of running the platform and your account: entry confirmations and receipts, waitlist updates, invoices, club-manager invitations, password resets and other account-security notices, and — if you organize events — notifications about entries. You cannot opt out of the ones that document something you did (such as a receipt), because you would be worse off without them. Notification-style service emails (entry notifications, organizer announcements, getting-started reminders) can be switched off from your profile or from the unsubscribe link in the email.

Optional updates (newsletter). Occasional product updates, upcoming events and recent results. We send these only if you ask for them by ticking the box when you create your athlete profile or club, or by switching them on in your profile. The box is never pre-ticked. You can stop at any time using the unsubscribe link in every such email or the switch in your profile; the change takes effect immediately, and in any case within the time required by law. These emails identify TargetScore as the sender and include our mailing address. If you subscribe, our newsletter platform receives your email address, name, country and province, whether you are an athlete or run a club, and your club's name. We see whether these emails are opened and which links are clicked.

To comply with anti-spam law (including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act), we keep a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, the date and time, the form it was on, and the IP address and browser used. We keep this record for as long as you are subscribed and for the period the law requires afterwards. Unsubscribing does not delete your account or your event data.

2.2. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications on your device, the app sends notices about your entries, reminders before events you entered, and new events at clubs you follow. Every notice is also kept in the app's inbox. You can choose which notices you get in the app, or turn them off in your device settings.

3. What Is Public

Shooting sports are competitive and results are meant to be shared, so some information is visible to anyone, including people who are not signed in:

  • Event entries and results. For each published event: the entrants' names, country, division, classification, age category and gender, their entry status, and their scores and results. An event marked private is visible to anyone who has its link.
  • Shot data (your shot groups) is shown with results unless you turn it off in your privacy settings. Load and velocity data is shown only if you turn it on.
  • Your athlete profile, if your profile is public (the default): your name, photo, gender, country, province or state, city, profession and shooting hand, and your score history. Your email address, phone number and birth month and year are never shown publicly. If you turn your public profile off, your profile page is hidden and you are not shown in athlete search, but your name and results still appear in the events you entered.
  • Club records and award lists published by clubs.
  • Clubs' pages and websites, including the contact details a club chooses to publish.
  • Link previews. When a link to an event, results page, club or public athlete profile is shared on social media or in a messaging app, a preview card shows the name and location. We use Cloudinary to create the preview images.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4.1. Who Can See Your Information

  • Clubs and event organizers see what you submit for their events: your entry and its history, your answers to their entry form, your email address, your birth month and year (for age categories), your payments and refunds, and the waivers you sign for them. They do not see your phone number.
  • Team Up Mate. If a club uses Team Up Mate to manage its memberships, we send your email address to Team Up Mate to check whether you are a member, and show the result to the club.

We may share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform:

  • Supabase: sign-in and account authentication
  • Microsoft Azure: hosting for our servers and database, and Azure Application Insights for server monitoring
  • Netlify: hosting for our website
  • Cloudflare: network security and delivery, and custom domains for club websites
  • Amazon Web Services: file storage for photos, logos and signed documents (S3), and email delivery (Simple Email Service)
  • Stripe: card payments for event entries, club plan billing on our website, and payment account setup for clubs
  • Apple and Google: in-app purchases, delivery of push notifications, and sign-in; Facebook: sign-in
  • RevenueCat: managing club plans bought in the app. It receives the club's ID, not your name or email address.
  • Expo: delivery of push notifications to the mobile app
  • Google: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager on our website, reCAPTCHA to block automated abuse, and Google Maps and YouTube when a club adds them to its website
  • PostHog: product analytics and session recordings
  • Sentry: error and crash reporting
  • Cloudinary: creating link-preview images
  • Tawk.to: live chat on our website
  • Our self-hosted newsletter platform at news.targetscore.com (subscriber list, consent records and delivery of optional updates; operated by us)
  • Our electronic signature service for waivers (operated by us)

These providers are contractually restricted from using your information for any purpose other than providing their service to us.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

4.2. Information Collected Through Custom Entry Forms

Event organizers may create custom entry forms to collect additional information from participants. Any information you enter into these forms is collected and controlled by the organizing club or organization — not by TargetScore.

Accordingly:

  • TargetScore does not control or review what information organizers request
  • TargetScore is not responsible for the content of custom forms or the data collected through them
  • Organizers are solely responsible for ensuring their data collection complies with applicable privacy laws
  • TargetScore stores the data only to facilitate event administration and does not use it for any other purpose

If you have concerns about data requested on a specific event’s form, please contact the event organizer directly.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

  • Maintain your account
  • Support current and future events, including the results and records of past events
  • Comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records

5.1. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time, in the mobile app under Profile → Delete account or on our website under Profile → Danger zone. Deletion is immediate. When you delete your account:

  • Your sign-in is deleted; your name, email address and photo are removed from your account; your preferences, notifications and push notification settings are deleted; and you are unsubscribed from our optional updates. If you used Sign in with Apple, we ask Apple to remove TargetScore's access to your Apple ID.
  • Your results stay with the events you entered. Your athlete profile remains as an unclaimed profile with your name, gender, birth month and year, country, province or state, shooting hand and privacy settings, so that past results and records stay correct. Your email address, phone number, photo, city and profession are removed from it.
  • We keep your email address privately with that profile. It is never shown, and lets us link your results back to you if you sign up again with the same address. It also stops organizers from creating a duplicate profile for you. If you would rather we did not keep it, contact us.
  • Clubs keep their own records of your entries, orders, payments, signed waivers and the change history of their events, which include your name.
  • If you are the only owner of a club, you choose whether to hand the club over to another manager or delete it.

5.2. Other Retention

  • Deleted clubs: a club is hidden as soon as an owner deletes it, and permanently deleted, with everything in it, 7 days later.
  • Signed waivers are kept until the club deletes them or the club is deleted.
  • Copies on your device: the mobile app's offline copy is removed when you delete your account or the app.
  • Logs and backups: server logs, diagnostics and database backups are kept for a limited time, so deleted information may remain in them until they expire.

6. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text
  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS
  • Our main database and file storage are encrypted at rest
  • Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it, and a club's staff can see only their own club's information

Your information is stored and processed in Canada, the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, and may be accessible to the authorities of those countries under their laws.

No system is completely secure, but we strive to follow industry best practices.

7. Children's Privacy

You must be at least 13 years old to create a TargetScore account, and users under the age of majority need the permission of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create an account.

Clubs may enter junior athletes, including children under 13, in their events and publish their results. If you are the parent or guardian of a junior athlete and want to access, correct or remove their information, please contact us.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the information we have about you
  • Correction: Update your profile yourself, or ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Delete your account in the app or on our website at any time (see Section 5), or ask us to delete other information
  • Privacy settings: Choose whether your athlete profile is public and whether your shot data and your load and velocity data are shown
  • Limit Analytics: Request that your account not be included in analytics data (where technically possible)
  • Withdraw consent / unsubscribe: Stop optional update emails at any time using the link in any such email or the switch in your profile (see Section 2.1), and turn push notifications off in the app or in your device settings

To make any of these requests, email us at: support@targetscore.com. We respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honour them. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the privacy authority where you live.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • Our website keeps your sign-in session and preferences (such as theme and language) in your browser's local storage. Google Analytics, PostHog, reCAPTCHA and our live chat may set their own cookies.
  • Club websites set a cookie that remembers your language.
  • The mobile app does not use cookies; it keeps your sign-in in your device's secure storage.

We use these technologies to keep you signed in, understand how the Services are used, and improve performance and usability. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings, but some functionality may be affected.

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email or in the Services before it takes effect.

Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
