Thank you for using TargetScore ("TargetScore", "we", "our", or "us"). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting the information you share when using our website, mobile app, and services (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

If you do not agree with this policy, please discontinue use of the Services.

1. Information We Collect​

We collect only the minimum information needed to operate shooting events and provide our Services.

1.1. Information You Provide​

We may collect the following information when you create an account or participate in events:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password (securely hashed and salted by our authentication provider)
  • Event registration details (squads, scores, division, categories, or details you choose to submit)
  • Age group (e.g., Junior, Adult, Senior — not date of birth)

We do not request or store the following types of sensitive information:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Government ID numbers
  • Home address
  • Exact date of birth
  • Financial or payment information
  • Employment details
  • Any data unrelated to event participation

1.2. Information Submitted Through Custom Forms​

Event organizers may create custom entry forms. Information submitted in these forms is stored in your profile or event registration and is visible to the event organizer. TargetScore does not use this information for any purpose other than enabling the event.

1.3. Automatically Collected Technical Data​

We use standard analytics and diagnostics tools to help maintain and improve the platform. These tools may collect:

  • Device information
  • Browser type
  • IP address
  • Pages or screens viewed
  • App performance data
  • Error logs

These tools include:

  • Google Analytics
  • PostHog
  • Sentry
  • Azure Application Insights

All data is used strictly for technical operations and platform improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information​

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Creating and managing user accounts
  • Enabling users to register for shooting events
  • Allowing organizations to manage event rosters and scoring
  • Providing event-related functionality and communication
  • Maintaining security, stability, and performance of the platform
  • Identifying and resolving errors or outages
  • Improving and developing new features

We do not use your information for:

  • Targeted advertising
  • Marketing without your permission
  • Selling or renting data to any third party

3. How We Share Information​

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform:

  • Supabase (database and authentication hosting)
  • Google Analytics
  • PostHog
  • Sentry
  • Azure Application Insights

These providers are contractually restricted from using your information for any purpose other than providing their service to us.

Event organizers can view only the information you submit for their events.

3.1. Data Collected Through Custom Entry Forms​

Event organizers may create custom entry forms to collect additional information from participants. Any information you enter into these forms is collected and controlled by the organizing club or organization — not by TargetScore.

Accordingly:

  • TargetScore does not control or review what information organizers request
  • TargetScore is not responsible for the content of custom forms or the data collected through them
  • Organizers are solely responsible for ensuring their data collection complies with applicable privacy laws
  • TargetScore stores the data only to facilitate event administration and does not use it for any other purpose

If you have concerns about data requested on a specific event’s form, please contact the event organizer directly.

4. Data Storage and Security​

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text
  • Supabase data is encrypted at rest by default
  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS

At this time, custom application data stored outside of Supabase is not encrypted at rest. We are actively working toward adding additional encryption measures.

No system is completely secure, but we strive to follow industry best practices.

5. Data Retention​

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

  • Maintain your account
  • Support current and future events
  • Comply with legal obligations

You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 7).

6. Children's Privacy​

TargetScore is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights and Choices​

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the information we have about you
  • Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Limit Analytics: Request that your account not be included in anonymous analytics data (where technically possible)

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies​

We may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain login sessions
  • Understand how the Services are used
  • Improve performance and usability

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some functionality may be affected.

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised.
