Your Shooting Analytics

Analytics gathers every score a club has entered for you into one place: how many events and matches you have shot, the distances and shot counts you have covered, and your best score in each group, each one linked back to the results page it came from.

Where to find it

  1. Sign in to Target Score.
  2. Select Analytics in the top menu. It is also in the menu under your initials or profile photo in the upper-right corner. Both links appear only once you have an athlete profile.
  3. The page opens at targetscore.com/analytics under the heading Scores Summary.

Your dashboard also shows a Your scores at a glance card with the same four totals and your top three scores; its Full analytics link opens this page. The same Scores Summary panel appears on your athlete profile page.

What you need

  • An athlete profile. Without one the page asks you to create one.
  • Scores entered by the club. Analytics reads the same scores as the public results pages, for published events only. If a result is missing there, it is missing here too.
  • Entries linked to your profile. Entries you registered yourself are linked already. If a club added you by hand, make sure the club has the email address you sign in with: a profile carrying your email address is linked to your account the next time you sign in. If we find other profiles with your name, the dashboard shows them with a Claim Profile button.

The summary

Four tiles sit above the table:

TileWhat it counts
Total EventsPublished events you have an entry in, whether or not they have been scored yet.
Total MatchesScores counted in the current view, after your filters.
Distances ShotDistinct distances, for example 300, 500 and 600 yards.
Shot CountsDistinct shots-per-match, for example 10, 15 and 20.

A line at the bottom of the page lists how much data is available in total: distances, shot counts, ranges and events.

Quick views

The table always shows your best score per group; the quick views decide what a group is.

  • Best Scores by Distance (the default): one row per distance.
  • Best Scores by Shot Count: one row per number of shots.
  • Long Range Performance: only 900 and 1000 yard or metre matches, grouped by distance and shot count.
  • Performance by Range: one row per range you have shot at.
  • Detailed Analysis: one row for every distance and shot count combination.

Each row shows the group, your Best Score, the Event it was shot at (a link to that event's results), the Date, and Times Shot, the number of scores in that group. The best score is the one with the most points; a tie is settled by the centre count.

Filters

Two filters sit above the summary and stay in place when you switch quick views:

  • Filter by Rules: pick one or more rulebooks. The count on each button is the number of scores shot under it. A warning reminds you that mixing rulebooks with different scoring systems, such as a 10-point and a 5-point target, can be misleading.
  • Filter by Target Face: pick one or more target faces, since faces have different ring sizes.

Select Clear Filter to remove a filter again.

Viewing the shots

A best score shown underlined has shot data behind it. Select it to open the same target view the results pages use: the plotted group for that match, and your load and velocity figures where the club recorded them. Only the best score in a group opens this way, so use a narrower quick view, for example Detailed Analysis, to reach a particular match.

Who can see what

You always see your own shot and load data here, whatever your privacy settings say. For anyone else looking at your athlete profile, the two switches under Privacy settings apply exactly as they do on results pages: Shot data visibility (on by default) controls the plotted group, and Load and velocity data (off by default) controls the velocity and load figures. Scores and totals themselves are not affected by these switches; they are already public on the event's results page.
