Range Bookings

Let entrants book their own time at the range. You open booking windows on an event — a stretch of range time cut into equal time slots, with so many firing points in each — and each entrant picks a slot from their entry page. You see who booked what, approve requests if you want to, and everyone gets the emails your club chooses.

Range Bookings is part of the Pro and Unlimited plans, see Plan limits.

Where to Find It

  • Manage Club > Range Bookings: your club's rules, and every upcoming booking across your events.
  • Event dashboard > Range Bookings: the event's booking windows and its bookings.
  • Entry page: where an entrant books, changes or cancels their range time.

Set the Club's Rules

Open Manage Club > Range Bookings. These rules apply to every event of the club:

  • Time slot length: the starting slot length for a new window (each window keeps its own).
  • Close bookings before the slot: entrants can no longer book a slot once it starts in fewer minutes than this.
  • Cancellation notice: entrants can change or cancel a booking until its slot starts in fewer hours than this.
  • Bookings need approval: new bookings wait for you instead of being confirmed at once. An event can switch this on or off for itself.
  • Emails: whether you are told about each new booking, and whether entrants are emailed when a booking is confirmed, declined or cancelled.

Booking windows are entered on your club's clock, so set your time zone under Club Details first.

Open a Booking Window

  1. On the event dashboard open Range Bookings and click Add booking window.
  2. Pick a match to fill in the label and start time from its schedule, or type them yourself.
  3. Enter the date, start and end, the time slot length and the firing points per time slot — usually the targets or lanes you are making available. The form shows how many bookings that makes.
  4. Save. The window is open to entrants at once; switch Open for bookings off to keep it but stop new bookings.

Once a window has a booking its times and slot length are locked; you can still rename it, close it, or add firing points.

Bookings

The table on the event's Range Bookings page lists every booking with its time, window, entrant and state. Approve or Decline the ones waiting for you (with an optional reason the entrant is emailed), or Cancel any live booking. Book for an entrant lets you place someone yourself; those bookings are confirmed straight away, and the usual cut-offs do not apply to you.

How Entrants Book

An entrant with a confirmed entry — or one waiting for your approval — books from their entry page: pick a window, pick a time, and choose whether to get a reminder email the day before. They can change or cancel until your notice period. After registering, the confirmation page points them to it.

You can also put the slot picker on the entry form: in the form builder tick Range time slot under System fields (it is offered once the event has an open window). An entrant then picks their time while registering.

Things to Know

  • Unpaid entries: a slot chosen on the entry form by an entry that still has to pay online is held without taking a firing point. Once the payment lands the slot is booked, or, if it filled up meanwhile, the entrant is told and can pick another.
  • Withdrawn entries lose their bookings automatically.
  • Times are always shown in the club's time zone; an entrant in another zone also sees their own.
  • Reminders go out about a day before the slot to entrants who asked for one when booking.
  • A match's schedule only fills in the window when you create it; changing the match later does not move the window.
  • Booking windows are not copied when you clone an event.

Plan Limits

Range Bookings needs a Pro or Unlimited plan. If a plan ends, existing windows and bookings stay and you can still approve, decline and cancel; new windows and new bookings need the plan again. See Plans and Billing.
